Teaching
We are associated with four major teaching activities:
For IISER Students:
BI2113 Ecology and Evolution: This is a basic course in Ecology and Evolution that has been running continuously since 2007. Of late, a subset of BI2113 students have been making natural history videos. Click here to watch these videos.
BI3433 Evolution: This is an advanced course for third and fourth year students.
For everyone:
Biostatistics Workshops: Since 2018, we have been teaching intensive courses on Biostatistics involving both classroom teaching and hands-on training sessions. Titled "Biostatistics: a user's perspective", these workshops attract students from all over the world.
Molecular Biology Workshops: We conduct 1-3 day long Molecular Biology workshops for students (school, Bachelors, Masters and PhD) as well as professionals. The number of students in each workshop is 10 at maximum, and each student gets to perform every aspect of the work. These workshops are sponsored by various corporate donors through CSR.
